Did you know that God knows your name?
Yes, He does! He knows every detail about you, from the number of hairs on your head to the dreams in your heart. He loves you with everlasting love and He has a wonderful plan for your life. You are not an accident or a mistake. You are His beloved child, created in His image and likeness. He calls you by name and He wants to have a personal relationship with you.
How amazing is that?
The Creator of the universe knows you and cares for you. He is not distant or indifferent. He is close and compassionate. He is not angry or harsh. He is gentle and kind. He is not demanding or controlling. He is patient and respectful. He is not boring or dull. He is exciting and fun.
God knows your name and He wants you to know His name too.
He has revealed Himself to us through His Word, His Son, and His Spirit. He has many names that describe His character and attributes, such as Jehovah Jireh (The Lord Will Provide), El Shaddai (God Almighty), and Abba (Father). As you get to know Him more, you will discover more of His names and what they mean to you.
God knows your name and He invites you to call on His name. He says in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” He wants to hear from you, to listen to your prayers, to speak to your heart, to guide your steps, to bless your life. He is always available, always attentive, always faithful.
