Blessed Morning All ♥
Today, my thoughts fell on the Love of God, and aligning our hearts as close as possible to His. We’ll never be Him and we’ll never be able to Love exactly as God did, but we can aim to come close. I say never, because we were born into sin, and each day knowingly and unknowingly we may do something that may not be pleasing to God. Not that we aim not to please Him, but as I continue on this journey, I realize… I MESS UP SOMETIMES.
THAT IS CORRECT😁, I’M NOT PERFECT, NO ONE IS ♥
However, that doesn’t mean that Jesus loves us any less, or that God won’t forgive us. It simply means we didn’t walk this earth as Jesus did nor have we died and risen sinless. It’s impossible to be exactly like Him, no matter how hard we try! We look at this like it is, there was “Death through one man and Life through another”. Meaning that through the sins of Adam & Eve, we are faced with death in sin. Romans 5:12 explains to us how we were born into sin…
“wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon ALL MEN, for that all have sinned”
And just as Adam’s transgressions went against what God expected of us, the sacrifice and gift of Jesus offered us LIFE. (I’m so very grateful it did) Further into Romans 5:15-17 tells us how God’s grace gave us Jesus as a Gift of Life (Free Gift).
As we see in the text, God shows us how we came into sin, why sin is around us, and how the gift shouldn’t be looked at as we look at sin. Man’s sin is incomparable to the Gift of God, it is unlike anything else as it has brought us Life ♥ It has given us the way to Eternal Life, as it has given us the way to learn how to align our hearts with Christ. We are to work diligently on this daily, as we walk our journeys toward and with Christ.
How are we to do this?
How are we supposed to align our hearts to Jesus, who was sinless and perfect?
How can we live in harmony with our Creator, who loves us and wants the best for us?
How can we follow Him, His Will, which is meant to guide us and protect us?
How can we experience His peace and joy, which surpasses all understanding?
Well, first we seek him, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33). Secondly we acknowledge that He died for our sins and that He is Jesus Christ and has risen from the dead. Thirdly, surrender and accept and believe with our whole hearts that He is Jesus Christ, seek to be baptized by water and filled with the Holy Spirit. And through the Holy Spirit, it will help you/us align our hearts to Christ. It will help us, do as He has asked, and love thy neighbor as we have loved ourselves and as He has loved us.
We walk in life, KNOWING, meaning we walk in FAITH and with BELIEF, that Jesus Christ is Our Lord and Savior, the Son of God. That He is the way, the TRUTH, and the Light of the World, and ONLY through Him will we see GOD. (read John 14)
To align our hearts with God, we need to make Him our priority and our treasure. We need to spend time with Him in prayer, reading His word, worshiping Him, and listening to His voice. We need to seek His presence and His power in our lives.
We read His Word and take it to heart, let it teach us Who God is (The Father), Who Jesus is (The Son), and about the Holy Spirit (The Helper). We let the Spirit of God lead us through life, putting and keeping Him First above all else. And when I say above all else, this includes your spouse, children, family, and friends: it also includes jobs, and everything else in this world.
If you truly want to align your hearts with Christ, which simply means get behind Christ and FOLLOW HIM!! By definition, it says “align” means to place or arrange in a straight line.” And through the Love of God, we can align our hearts with Christ, we can live a life that is pleasing to Him.
If we put in the effort and walk this walk daily, don’t get comfortable or boastful. Don’t stop walking (running when you have to), and if you fall, GET BACK UP brush yourself off, and KEEP WALKING. Work on you daily. Keep your focus on the prize, that is HEAVEN and continue to push through.
Being like Jesus and learning to align our hearts, minds, body, and soul with His; is the highest calling and the greatest privilege of every Christian. It is also the most challenging and rewarding adventure of every Christian. It is not easy or comfortable, but it is possible and joyful.
So let us pursue this goal with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Let us ask God to help us be more like Jesus every day. Let us trust God to make us more like Jesus until the day we see him face to face.
And Remember….
Peter said, “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).
Living for God and aligning our hearts with God is not a one-time event, but a lifelong process. It is not a human effort, but a divine work. It is not a burden, but a blessing. As we align our hearts with God, we will discover the true meaning of life and the true source of happiness.
Have a Blessed Week,
STAY SAFE, STAY ENCOURAGED, STAY BLESSED ♥
